Julia Creek Calf Drive
A couple of generous local farmers have donated their time and truck to drive 2100km to Julia Creek to help flood affected farmers with the help of Croker Grain & Conqueror Milling. In speaking with some of the locals on the ground one of their biggest concerns was to keep orphaned calves and weaners alive.
The target has been set at $25000 and there has been pledges and donations totalling $12,000 today already.
Simon & Eugene Moloney will take a b-double load of pellets from Conqueror Milling in Cootamundra. The support for the drive has been overwhelming with Croker Grain & Conqueror Milling arranging the pellets to be loaded tomorrow morning. Shearers Transport & Ron Crouches Transport have donated the trailers, Elders have insure them, The Sportsman Hotel, Tasco, Hart Brother Seeds and John & Brendan Pattison have also been generous supporters to name just a few.
For those wishing to support the drive pledges can be made at Croker Grain office 026934400 or alternatively tax deductable donations can be made to Rotary Club of South Wagga, with reference CALF to direct the donation.
